Formed in the Netherlands in 2018, FORCYD have since expanded into the UK, Belgium and Germany and have physical offices, complete with boots on the ground in all four locations.FORCYD is also a founding member of the international alliance of independent forensic technology providers who work together to support multijurisdictional projects that require a local presence across continents.Unlike other service providers in this field, FORCYD is entirely owned and funded by the people who work in the business. This ownership structure allows FORCYD to be selective about the clients and projects it supports, choosing to work hand in glove with clients to deliver bespoke solutions, based on each client’s unique requirements.

Mathieu van Ravenstein

Experience
Mathieu has over 20 years of experience in legal and police advice and eDiscovery. He has worked with global corporations, law firms and international institutions across EMEA advising on many high profile and complex investigations and disputes as well as on legislation in areas such as corporate fraud, money laundering, competition law and international trade. Mathieu founded several of the first document review companies or departments in Europe and has built up a large global network of lawyers and project managers.
Bas Sluijsmans

Responding to questions, information requests and other inquiries is not as easy as most people think. A lot more happens behind the scenes before facts are established and answers can be provided. At FORCYD our purpose is to help companies and firms to organise the information, establish the facts and respond with confidence to ensure a new sustainable resolution, allowing you to be ‘back in business’ as quickly as possible.

Experience
Bas played a substantial role in many notable global matters, ranging from banking and finance during the credit crisis, to over 15 years of global corruption investigations, national parliamentary inquiries and a wide variety of industry specific investigations and cases in which digital evidence is key.
Before co-founding FORCYD, Bas spent 10 years working for Big4 firms, including leading the regional eDiscovery practices. Additionally, Bas has worked for 7 years with national and international law enforcement and intelligence services, focusing on digital forensics.
Arnold Emmink

Experience
Arnold oversees eDiscovery, Digital Forensics and Incident Response investigations for major clients around the world. Arnold is experienced in setting up efficient workflows, automation and applying advanced analytics to solve technology related issues.
He has extensive experience with best-in-industry tools defensibly investigate data from many different sources. He is an expert in using forensic tools like Forensic Toolkit (FTK), Encase, Cellebrite, Nuix, Magnet, and Relativity. Arnold is one of the very few certified Relativity Masters around the world demonstrating the use of eDiscovery tooling along with proven workflow design and project management.
Michael Becker

As the newly appointed Partner and lead of the DACH region, Michael Becker will help bolster FORCYD’s local presence and focus on business development, client relationship management and response to regulatory, litgation and compliance challenges faced by our clients.

Experience
Michael is a qualified lawyer, published author and previous managing director of a leading eDiscovery, document review and legal consulting service provider for its Continental European offices. With over 15 years of experience, Michael has overseen complex solutions design and implementation on some of the most extensive eDiscovery investigations and litigations across the EU, US and Asia, and has consulted clients on multilingual eDiscovery and document review investigations.
He is highly experienced in the implementation of solutions in antitrust, fraud, compliance and corruption procedures, litigation, arbitration and internal investigations with specialised consideration of EU data protection regulations and legal process outsourcing.
